Breathe easy, December is here! This month we will focus on respiratory health including cardiac and CHF safety over the holiday season, evidenced based information on pulmonary rehab, and educational handouts to support your instruction.
We will also touch on heart-inspiration: ways to inspire your staff or senior loved one.
Savvy Seniors: Make sure you are up to date on your flu and pneumonia vaccinations.
It seems that everyone is more than ready for the inspiration and joy of Christmas after this past year. There is no better way to feel joyful than to do something for someone else. A fun idea for a home care facility would be to have a competition amongst the staff to fill a box with coats or blankets, or gather donations to make gift baskets for patients in care facilities. Having a common purpose brings people together. My family is making gift boxes to send to 3 of our Senior loved ones- who have been isolated in their care facilities for months. Mugs, hot cocoa packets, socks, candy, photos. lotion, and a new cute mask are inexpensive and fun!
What are your ideas for sharing Christmas cheer with Seniors? What is your agency doing to care for Seniors through the holidays?
